Frequently Asked Questions

Green peel can treat acne, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, sun damage, large pores, and stretch marks. It is also particularly effective at brightening and refreshing congested dull skin.
First your skin is cleansed, and afterwards your Green Peel foam mixture is made by mixing the herbs with a special foam. The amount of herbs and duration of massage depends on which Green Peel strength you have. The Green Peel is massaged into your skin for a specific time, then gently but thoroughly wiped away. Finally special Dr Schrammek aftercare is applied to your skin.
Green Peel works by accelerating your skin's renewal cycle, which usually takes 28 days. The tiny herb particles exfoliate the surface of your skin and promote a complete refresh of your skin's surface in just 5 days. This leaves you with brighter, fresher skin, as well as improved acne, scarring, and evened skin tone.
Your downtime depends on which Green Peel strength you have. The Fresh-Up comes with no downtime at all, and the Energy comes with 1-2 days of redness. The Classic comes with 3-5 days of of downtime, with redness and sensitive skin.
You'll start seeing results 1 week after your Green Peel treatment, once your skin has finished shedding. The results will peak at around the 1 month mark, as your skin also benefits from increased collagen production after treatment.
If you have deeper skin concerns, such as skin discolouration or acne breakouts, a course is recommended. This varies from person to person but usually 4-6 monthly sessions are recommended. You'll notice your skin gradually improving with each session, with a lovely cumulative effect. A single session can be enough, as a simple skin-reset or refresh, if you don't have deeper concerns to target.
Green Peels are suitable for almost everyone, especially as your practitioner can select and modify your protocol depending on your skin. It's ideal if you are seeking natural herbal skin rejuvenation for acne, dullness, scarring, and early signs of ageing.
Green peels are generally not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have an active skin infection, severe skin conditions such as eczema, or if you are taking certain medications such as specific oral antibiotics.
The core ingredients are a mix cocktail of aloe vera, marigold, camomile, lungwort, pansy, ribwort and horsetail. These each come with their own unique and powerful benefits for your skin, combining hydrating, anti-inflammatory, and healing benefits.
The Fresh-Up is most suitable as a skin refresh with minimal to no peeling, if your skin is feeling dull and tired. It provides a quick boost to skin health and glow, for a fresher complexion. The Energy is great for deeper skin concerns with a mild peeling effect. It contains twice the amount of herbs, and is massaged into your skin for longer. The Classic is more of an intensive skin treatment, for deeper concerns such as scarring. It contains 3x the amount of herbs as the Fresh-Up, with a longer massage time also.
We recommend that most clients start with the Fresh-Up and work their way up to the Energy and Classic peels if needed. The right peel for you depends on your skin's condition and the amount of downtime you can tolerate. As you work up to stronger peels, Energy and Classic, the result will be more dramatic and you'll also experience more downtime as they are more intensive.
Your skin will peel after treatment, but it may not be visible. The Fresh-Up often does not cause visible skin shedding, but you will still benefit from the treatment. You will experience visible skin shedding however with the Energy and Classic protocols.
The treatment can be uncomfortable, as you'll feel a pinprick sensation during the massage. This subsides quickly after your treatment however, and by the next day your skin will feel normal.
Before treatment you should avoid sun exposure and stop harsh active skincare such as retinols for 1 week. 24 hours before you should not shave the area to be treated. After your treatment it is important not to put any water on your face. This is for 24 hours with Fresh-Up, 48 hours with Energy, and 5 days with Classic. You should also avoid exercise during this time and use your Dr Schrammek post-care routine as advised by your practitioner. You should also avoid picking at your skin completely, and let any skin shedding occur naturally.
