Your Microinfusion Facial is completely tailored to your skin. This is because the cocktail of active ingredients is tailor made for your skin. As a result you can target any and all aesthetic skin concerns, from scarring to glow to signs of ageing.
Your practitioner will create your ingredient cocktail after identifying the results you are looking for. This is then loaded into the microinfusion device which comes with fine gold plated needles. When this is stamped into your skin it delivers the ingredient cocktail directly into your skin through microchannels created by the needles.
Microinfusion facials come with very little downtime. You might experience some redness for up to 24 hours after treatment, but that's all. Outside of that for 24-48 hours you should avoid makeup, strong actives such as retinoids, and strenuous exercise or anything that may make you sweat.
Within 1 or 2 days you'll notice brighter, plumper, and healthier looking skin. At around 4-6 weeks you'll notice the most profound results as your skin has been renewed and collagen remodelling taken place. You'll have fresh and bright skin, as well as visible reduction in pore size, lines and wrinkles, and skin elasticity.
While this highly depends on you and your goals, there are a few principles you can follow. 3-4 times a year is great when having Microinfusion as a supplement to your regular skin routine. As a standalone treatment however we recommend having it monthly for 3-6 total sessions.
Microinfusion facials are suitable for you if you're looking for a highly tailored approach to your skin rejuvenation. Microinfusion could be a fantastic option if you find that premade treatments aren't quite giving you the results you need.
Microinfusion facials aren't suitable if you have active acne, active skin infection, blood clotting disorders, a history of keloid scarring, or if you've had treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections in the past 14 days.
Results-wise, we generally wouldn't recommend this treatment as a standalone for advanced ageing or for severe acne scarring.
Hyaluronic acid, Botox, PRP, peptides, and various serums and vitamins are often included in Microinfusion facials. You can take the active ingredients you need, and combine them to make your own tailored super-treatment.
No, Microinfusion facials are not painful. Most people describe the treatment sensation as a tingle rather than pain. The needles used in this treatment are much finer than microneedling, and numbing cream can be used if you prefer.
On the same day of treatment you shouldn't wash your face, and you should skip makeup and strong actives such as retinoids for 48 hours. You should also avoid sweating, such as with strenuous exercise or saunas, for 48 hours.
Microinfusion uses much finer needles than Microneedling, and with a shallower needling depth. With Microinfusion your active ingredient cocktail is delivered straight into your skin as the channels are made. With Microneedling however these are layered ontop of the skin, to absorb afterwards through the channels made.
In most cases the choice between Microinfusion or Microneedling is made due to downtime, as Microneedling comes with slightly more downtime.
