Frequently Asked Questions

Soprano is an advanced laser hair removal treatment designed to safely and effectively reduce unwanted hair growth. It uses medical-grade laser technology to target hair follicles while protecting the surrounding skin.
The area must be shaved prior to treatment (ideally the day before or morning of treatment). The skin is cleaned if necessary and you will be given protective eyewear. A gel is applied to the treatment area after which the laser hand-piece glides freely across the area whilst also protecting the top layer of skin. Your therapist will regularly check your sensation levels to ensure a comfortable and pain-free procedure. The duration depends on the areas being treated and different energy levels are applied according to skin type.
The laser energy is absorbed by pigment within the hair follicle. This heat damages the follicle and reduces its ability to produce new hair, leading to gradual long-term hair reduction over a course of treatments.
Soprano is known for being one of the most comfortable laser hair removal systems available. Most patients describe the sensation as gentle warmth or a light heat on the skin thanks to the integrated cooling technology.
Yes. One of the key advantages of soprano technology is that it is suitable for all skin types 1-6, including darker skin. Although this laser is considered safe for tanned skin but it is highly recommended to wait at least 2 weeks before the treatment after sun exposure before treatment to ensure the skin is settled.
Yes. Soprano is suitable for both men and women and is commonly used for areas such as the back, chest, beard line, neck, and body grooming.
You should shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment and avoid waxing, plucking, or threading beforehand, as the laser needs the hair follicle intact to work effectively.
After treatment, avoid excessive heat, hot showers, saunas, intense exercise, and direct sun exposure for at least 24–48 hours. In the next 48 hours of the treatment apply 100% pure aloe vera gel or a gentle, fragrance-free lotion to calm redness and inflammation. Daily SPF use is strongly recommended.
There is little to no downtime. Mild redness or sensitivity may occur immediately after treatment but usually settles within a few hours.
You may notice slower hair growth and patchy reduction after the first few sessions. Results become more visible throughout your treatment course as hair grows back finer and less frequently.
Laser hair removal works best on darker hair because the laser targets pigment within the follicle. Very light blonde, grey, white, or red hairs may respond less effectively.
Yes. Soprano Laser Hair Removal is highly effective for reducing ingrown hairs and irritation caused by shaving or waxing because it reduces the amount of active hair growth.
Yes. Soprano is a clinically established laser system with advanced safety features and cooling technology. A consultation and patch test are always carried out first to ensure the treatment is suitable for your skin and hair type.
Soprano laser hair removal is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active skin infections, or open wounds in the treatment area. It should also be postponed if you have recently tanned skin, as laser treatment is less effective and may increase the risk of irritation.
