What is a HydraFacial?

Chances are you know about the HydraFacial treatment even if you've never had it before. It is immensely popular and with good reason! Using a specialized machine you'll get a 5-step facial in one gentle, painless, and highly effective treatment. With a single-use vacuum-like tip you'll cleanse and exfoliate your skin while pushing active ingredients deep within the skin to rejuvenate it from the inside out.

The HydraFacial is designed to give your skin deep hydration to promote a healthy skin barrier and avoid dry and dehydrated skin while leaving you with fresh and dewy red carpet-ready skin. You can even customize and add extras to your treatment to target:

How Does a HydraFacial Work?

As we said before, your HydraFacial consists of 5 steps to rejuvenate your skin, let's have a look at each step and how your skin will benefit. Watch the video to put an idea of what each step looks like in your mind:

Step 1: Cleansing

The first step of a HydraFacial is to cleanse the skin thoroughly. Your aesthetician will use a specialized cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup from the skin's surface.

Step 2: Lymphatic Drainage

Using vacuum suction with a clear tube helps to promote lymphatic drainage. This removes excess water from under the skin to reduce puffiness and remove waste and toxins.

Step 3: Exfoliation

After lymphatic drainage is exfoliation with lactic acid. You'll get rid of a layer of dead skin cells using a gentle abrasive technology to prepare your skin to get the most out of the next steps. You can even have different strengths of exfoliation and optional extras such as Glysal for deeper exfoliation.

Step 4: Extraction

Now you'll have an extraction of blackheads, whiteheads, and other impurities from your pores using a different disposable tip. Salicylic acid is used in this step to remove excess oil from the pores, this will reduce your chance of pore congestion and breakouts in future. Imagine how fresh your skin is going to feel!

Unclogged pores allow the active ingredients in the next step to dive deep within your skin for maximum effect. You may also have an additional manual extraction if you have lots of pore congestion, deep comedones, and milia.

Step 5: Hydration and Light Therapy

Now your skin is ready for the magic! In the final step, a serum containing antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid is infused into the skin. This will leave your skin hydrated, fresh, happy, and healthy. With optional extras, you can even target specific concerns such as:

  • Rozatrol for rosacea and sensitive skin, calm the skin and reduce flare-ups.

  • Dermabuilder for anti-aging, think treating fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Britenol for brightening the skin, a much fresher appearance and anti-pigmentation.

At the very end, you'll be put under a relaxing LED light machine to calm your skin and get rid of any bacteria sitting on the surface. After that, you're ready to go!
