Get Rid of Dark Circles Caused by Loss of Volume

Causes of Loss of Volume
The most common cause of loss of volume under the eyes is an indirect effect of aging.
Collagen and elastin production declines as you age, which leads to a loss of elasticity and firmness in the skin. Combined with a loss of tissue and fat volume with aging you may develop "sunken" appearance under the eyes. This commonly also comes with a groove-like appearance in the tear trough, a sign of loss of volume.
How this Causes Dark Circles
The "sunken" appearance of the under-eyes indirectly causes dark circles by causing shadows. While you may not actually have dark circles you may appear as if you do. This means that you'll also have an exaggeration of dark circles caused by other factors, such as poor circulation or bad sleep.

How You Can Treat Loss of Volume
Tear-trough filler is the most common method of treating undereye loss of volume.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) rich filler is injected into your tear trough. This commonly presents as a groove when you are experiencing loss of volume, which is gently filled to reduce it's appearance. You'll notice results immediately as a reduction in shadows being cast gives an appearance of much lighter under-eyes, and results will improve over the next 2 weeks. This is because the HA rich filler continues to attract water and hydrate the skin. As hydration is improved the "plumpness" increases, bettering your result.
The process might sound quite simple, but it requires advanced knowledge of facial anatomy. You should always be sure you are going to a well-trained medical practitioner for your tear-trough filler, as it is a very delicate procedure. Make sure to do your due diligence, as often the cheapest price comes with the biggest risk.
